Farmer's Transportation Logic

Cartoon illustration of a cheerful farmer in overalls riding a large brown horse along a country dirt road into town, passing red barn and silos, town buildings visible in distance, countryside landscape with rolling hills and wheat fields in cream, dark blue-gray, sage green, yellow, and bright red colors

Why did the farmer ride his horse to town?

It was too heavy to carry.

A full-grown horse typically weighs between 900 and 2,000 pounds, depending on the breed! Draft horses used on farms can weigh even more - up to 2,400 pounds. Definitely too heavy for anyone to carry!
